How To Acheive Your Fitness Goals

When you think about fitness what do you most think about? If you are like me you think about getting rid of those excess pounds, building some muscle to look tone, and having an overall sense of well-being and health.

That’s quite a bit to think about when you make a goal to be more “fit”.

In fact it can be a bad thing to try and focus on all those aspects when you are trying to get fit. It’s best to try and focus on one at a time.

For example, your first step could be to lose the extra weight you have. This way you can focus on one goal: getting to a specific weight.

Then you can take actionable steps to attaining this goal.

So for the first goal of losing the extra weight I would choose some sort of work out plan or diet.

I might do the HCG diet with HCG drops or maybe even injections. But the point is I know what I’m going to do and I can immediately take action on this step. That’s very important when you are trying to achieve some sort of fitness goal, or any other goal for that matter. Just make sure to do research so you can skip any HCG side effects.

Because when you are unclear about your goal then you will be unclear about what steps you need to take to accomplish the goal.

Our minds like simplicity and want to know where we want to go before we set out on our journey. Of course we can change course on our journey and make new goals and destinations, but we at least need a point to focus on before we even start.

It’s like taking a trip cross-country. If you want to get to a specific place you better know where it is on the map, and then program it into your GPS. Of course if you get off track you can easily get back on track because you know exactly where you are going. You can also add in more destinations and pit-stops, but eventually you will be getting to where you are going.

Another thing to consider is this idea of failing to reach your goal. As long as you are still striving to reach your fitness end-point, you have not failed. Back to the cross-country trip example; if we get half way to our destination we won’t say “Oh no, I’ve failed because I’m not there yet.” No, we will say “I haven’t yet gotten there but eventually I will as long as I keep going and follow the map.”

Knowing that you need to keep going until you reach your goal seems simple but most people quite way too early even though they are making good progress, especially in fitness.

How many times have you been on track and losing the weight but one day you say, “I’m still not to my target weight, this is so frustrating, maybe I’m doing something wrong.” When really all you have to do is to keep going.

We can’t always decide when we will get to a destination and sometimes is a bit farther than we thought, but that’s OK if we keep on going.

So don’t stop until you reach your goal.

After you hit that first fitness goal you will be well on your way to hitting your next goal.

The next goal might be to tone or bulk up your body by lifting weights. This is a very good idea especially if you want to keep the weight off. By building muscle you will increase your metabolism that will burn fat. Even if you aren’t working out you will still be burning more fat when you have muscle versus if you don’t have a lot of muscle.

Now for most women they don’t think in terms like this. They think about being “skinny.” But what you need to realize is that you need some muscle too. It doesn’t have to be big bulky muscles, but you can have slim and slender toned muscles. You don’t have to look like a body builder if you want some muscle. It’s very hard to look like a body builder, especially for women, so if that’s not what you want then don’t worry about it. You won’t wake up one morning looking like that! It takes careful planning and A LOT of work.

After building some muscle you may want to focus on your overall health and wellness. This could include things like your cardio or even what types of food you eat and how they make you feel.

It’s very important to consider your everyday diet and how it effects your overall well being. Even if you workout constantly if your diet isn’t good you won’t see much progress. Your diet is just as important as how much you go to the gym and workout.

That’s where a lot of people stumble. They go to the gym then have a large pizza later that night. It’s incongruent and your body will have a hard time being healthy and reaching any fitness goal unless you fix all areas of your health.

You should also consider vitamins and getting a regular doctor’s checkup. This will keep you healthy in the long-term and catch anything out of the ordinary before it gets out of hand. You will also avoid any HCG diet dangers that are possible if you make a mistake on the HCG diet plan, but it’s very safe.

It sounds like a lot of work and maybe even a lot of cost but consider how much it costs to be sick. The doctor bills, the prescriptions, the missed work, not to mention how crappy you feel when you are sick and unhealthy.

Being fit and healthy is not the easiest thing to obtain but it is worth it, especially in the long term.

So to recap you need to know what you want, specifically where you want to end up so you can program your destination in your own personal GPS, your brain.

These simple steps will get you healthier than you have even been in your entire life. It’s a bold promise but true. If you follow these simple steps you will not fail to achieve your weight, fitness and health goals.
